On September 21st the girls of Gush had the pleasure of attending an ISES event at the Capitol Event Theatre entitled “The Cinematic Me” featuring Brett Culp.
For those of you who are not familiar with Brett, he is one of the most respected Event Filmmakers in the world and works with some of the top event planners and producers. His distinctive approach to Event Filmmaking has attracted a client list that includes celebrities, royalty, professional athletes, best-selling authors, rock stars, and Fortune 500 companies. In 2010 alone, Brett filmed in 23 major cities and his work has been featured in national programs on NBC, CBS, Lifetime, Food Network and WeTV. Brett has been a celebrity expert on Entertainment Tonight and US Weekly. The newest edition of the college textbook “Documentary Storytelling” devotes an entire chapter to his unique production style. Beginning as a celebrity wedding filmmaker, Brett has become well-known in the industry as an “Event Storyteller.” He works with clients and event producers to develop short films that communicate the heart and soul of an event. He is an expert at uncovering the emotional themes and bringing them to life for the guests. Beyond his role as a filmmaker, he is a secret weapon for bringing an event to life, creating an experience that the audience never forgets.
Brett was inspiring to say the least. Not only did we get a sneak peek at some of the event and wedding films he is working on, but his tips for how to uncover the story within each of us was truly aspirational and motivating.
