Today we are featuring some event spaces in Toronto that are perfect for smaller functions and weddings with 50-100 guests. This topic is a request from one of our readers, so enjoy!
Selecting a venue is a very personal thing. Our tastes, style and preferences all vary. For that reason we have chosen 4 different spaces to show you. Hopefully they will tickle your fancy.
The Drake Hotel Sky Yard
The Drake Sky Yard is a tropical rooftop patio right in the heart of the city. With its lush foliage, comfy banquettes, and grown-up lemonade stand, you feel like you are in the tropics. The food is amazing; especially the lobster nachos which are a must try, but the cocktails are even better. My personal favourite is the lavender lemonade which is spiked with vodka. A few of those and you will be ready to party. This is the perfect location for a wedding, baby shower, birthday dinner party, or gathering with your friends and family. The best part is, this island oasis is an all season space.
C-Lounge is typically thought of as a night club and not necessarily a great place for hosting events. But let me tell you, it is quite the opposite. The C-Lounge patio is another venue in the city where you don’t feel like you are in the hussel and bussel. It is a beautiful sanctuary with palm trees, cabanas, and a wading pool which looks amazing when candle lit. The C-lounge staff, lead by Operations Manager, Trina Parnell, go above and beyond to ensure your event is a success. The patio holds 100 people comfortably. The only down fall is that this space is affected by the elements and therefore is only open spring through fall. The in-house catering company also knocks it out of the park and will even go to such lengths as to match their food presentation with your overall vision/theme.
Located on the 51st story of the Manulife Centre at Bay and Bloor, Panorama offers spectacular views of the city skyline, especially at night. They have both an indoor space equipped with lounge furniture and tables for dining, but for the true experience I highly recommend the patio. Panorama has an award-winning cocktail and tapas menu created by Executive Chef Zack Jacobs. This is a perfect venue to showcase the city for functions with out-of-town guests. Even Torontonians will be blown away. Note that all guests must be 19 years or older.
Auberge du Pommier
Auberge du Pommier is one of Oliver & Bonacini’s many spectacular event spaces. Constructed around the rustic vestiges of two 1860’s woodcutters’ cottages, this exquisite French restaurant offers modern French cuisine and an impressive wine selection of over 500 different bottles. Holding true to the O&B standards, Auberge du Pommier provides exceptional service and impeccable menu offerings. This is a great space for intimate weddings and more conservative parties. It hosts 80-100 people comfortably.
