Hello Gorgeous!

Gush recently had the honour of planning a gorgeous peacock inspired wedding at the Distillery Districts Boiler House. The girls of Gush, alongside the beautiful bride, teamed up to coordinate and make certain that every magnificant detail she envisioned was brought to life.

Our favourite duo, Alex and Cheryl of Young Hearts Photography captured all the little tidbits and sweet moments that made this event remarkably special.  This week we will be featuring the lovely bride, Lauren…

When we first sat down with Lauren to discuss her “look” vintage is the first word that came to mind. It started with the dress!

This beauty, named Ida was made by Cymbeline, a paris designer and purchased from Beckers Bridal in Toronto. Lauren decided to move away from traditional white and opted for a gown in Caramel.

Next, the accessories!  Lauren’s peacock fascinator was hand picked and designed by the bride herself at Sussman’s on Queen Street West. Complete with a peacock eye, black ostrich feathers, teal fish netting and finished with a silver floral embellishment, it was the perfect accent to tie in her overal theme.

Lauren’s “something borrowed’ came from her mother; a vintage topaz necklace with matching stud earrings. This gift was originally given to her mother from her father many years prior from the vintage collection at Birks. Oh la la!

Her sparkly gold shoes were purchased at Aldo’s and coordinated perfectly with her caramel dress.

Lauren then determined that she needed one more piece to finish off her look; a faux fur shrug. This shrug exudes the term vintage and was the perfect cover up to brace the cool April air.

No bride would be complete without her bouquet and this one is a keeper. A pop of colour which included, raspberry gerbera daisys, purple carnations, purple calla lillies, green kermit mums, peacock feathers and wired blue crystal gems – simply fabulous!

There is no doubt about it, Lauren was a stunner of a bride. She looked effortlessly beautiful and to say that her groom was pleased, well that is an understatement!
